Swap with Ledger
Ledger is a hardware wallet that keeps your keys on the device. Shieldz talks to it over USB, right in the browser, with no Ledger Live in between.
What you can swap from Ledger
How to swap with Ledger
- Plug your Ledger in by USB, unlock it and open the app for the coin you are sending, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
- On Shieldz, choose Connect, then Ledger. Chrome, Edge or Brave asks once for permission to talk to the device.
- Pick the coin you have and the coin you want, enter an amount and paste the address you want to receive at.
- Check the amount and deposit address on the Ledger screen and approve. Shieldz tracks the swap until it lands.
Before you swap
Ledger over USB needs a Chromium browser such as Chrome, Edge or Brave. Safari and Firefox do not support WebHID.
Shieldz charges 0.15% per swap. MetaMask's built-in swap charges 0.875% and Phantom's 0.85%. Compare on your own amount.
