Move USDC between networks
Circle’s USDC is issued natively on many networks, and each network’s USDC is its own token. Shieldz moves USDC between networks in one swap, from your own wallet, and compares every protocol that can route it.

Cost is what $1,000 loses on the way: network fees, the protocol’s pricing and the 0.15% Shieldz fee, from the best live quote. Gas to send from your own wallet is extra.
Where to hold USDC
Ethereum. The deepest USDC liquidity and the most integrations. Gas is paid in ETH and costs the most of these when the network is busy.
Base. Coinbase’s layer 2, with very low fees paid in ETH. A common place to hold USDC for payments and apps.
Arbitrum. An Ethereum layer 2 with low fees and deep DeFi liquidity. Gas is paid in ETH.
Solana. Fast and very cheap, paid in SOL. The receiving account needs a small SOL rent deposit the first time it holds USDC.

Moving USDC: common questions
Is USDC on Base the same as USDC on Ethereum?
Both are Circle’s USDC and worth one dollar each, but each network’s USDC is a separate token. Moving it between networks needs a cross-chain swap or bridge, not a plain transfer.
Can I send USDC on one network to an address on another?
No. A plain transfer stays on its own network, and sending to an address on the wrong network can lose the funds. Use a cross-chain swap: Shieldz takes USDC on one network and delivers USDC on another to an address you choose.
What is the cheapest network to move USDC to?
From Base, the cheapest destinations right now are Soneium, Monad and Mantle. The table above shows the live cost of moving $1,000 to every network, including network fees and the Shieldz fee.
Do I need an account?
No account and no sign-up. Shieldz never holds your USDC: you send it from your own wallet and the protocol delivers it straight to your address. The Shieldz fee is 0.15%.
