ShieldzSwap to and from Aleo
Aleo is a layer 1 for private applications, using zero-knowledge proofs to keep data off the public record. Shieldz gets prices for Aleo from NEAR Intents at the same time and shows you the best one before you sign.
What you can swap on Aleo
Aleo pairs
Before you swap
Aleo addresses start with aleo1. Receive in an Aleo wallet.
Shieldz charges 0.15% per swap. MetaMask's built-in swap charges 0.875% and Phantom's 0.85%, so on $1,000 that is $1.50 here against about $8.75. Compare on your own amount.
Receive Aleo in any wallet
Shieldz can't pay from a Aleo wallet yet. You can still swap into Aleo from any supported wallet: paste a Aleo address you control as the destination.
Swapping Aleo: common questions
How do I swap to Aleo?
Open Shieldz Swap, pick the coin you have and ALEO as the coin you want, then paste a Aleo address you control. Shieldz shows a quote from each protocol, and you sign the deposit in your own wallet.
Which Aleo tokens can I swap?
Right now: ALEO, USAD and USDCx. The list comes from the router's live catalogue and grows as the protocols add assets.
How long does a swap to or from Aleo take?
It depends on the route and on confirmations on the chain you send from. The app shows an estimate on every quote.
What does it cost?
Shieldz charges 0.15% on every swap. On top of that you pay the network fee on the chain you send from and the swap protocol's own pricing, which is already included in the quote. Wallet swap features typically charge 0.25% to 1%.
Which wallets can I use with Aleo?
Shieldz can't pay from a Aleo wallet yet, but you can swap into Aleo from any supported wallet by pasting a Aleo address you control.
Is it safe? Do I need an account?
There is no account and no sign-up. Shieldz never holds your funds or keys: you sign every swap in your own wallet, and the protocol sends the result straight to your address.
